I just showed that in the Rams game Washington's rushes were far more in line with Jeanty's, and he was given far more opportunities to run between the tackles and was not successful. Folks wanted more opportunities for Washington and they are increasing by the week but without any significant change in the results. The suggestion that Kubiak (Who didn't draft Jeanty) has some ulterior motive to prove his draft position is ridiculous.Rabidraider wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 8:07 pm Jeanty 106 carries
Washington 40 carries
How is that 50/50?

That would mean our 2 best receivers, outside our TE’s, are both 5’8”. Yeeaahh, we still got some drafting to do.

Washington gets stuffed between the tackles but also breaks large gains which is why his average is so much better. But since the sample is smaller he needs more carries to see if its a fluke. Jeanty rushing has been crap. 4.9 is still greater than 3.1NoThanksSir wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2026 4:43 am I just showed that in the Rams game Washington's rushes were far more in line with Jeanty's, and he was given far more opportunities to run between the tackles and was not successful. I believe the team is still trying to see what they got in their #1 pick. Draft position does play a part when a team needs to decide when to cut bait and move on.
To be fair he's doing better as a receiving 3rd down type back.
If Jeanty was a 5th round pick, he would be in Siberia by now.
Jets give up 127.7 yards a game rushing, maybe the backs can do some damage.

I have doubts on the claim “he’s not (the coaches guy)” because they didn’t draft him.
Evidence as to why? Boy Wonder at QB survived multiple regime changes at HC before McNugget pulled the plug.
Could it be a thing? Maybe, but my guess is coaches want to win as their job relies on results. And if a player produces it’s all good regardless if a previous coach or GM drafted them.

The data set I provided shows that we are taking a more in depth look at Washington's abilities, and doing exactly what you asked for by increasing Washington's snap count in between the tackles. He had 18 and 23 offensive snaps the last two games, up from the 13 he had to start the year.Rabidraider wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2026 5:35 am Washington gets stuffed between the tackles but also breaks large gains which is why his average is so much better. In the Rams game Jeanty's YPC in between the tackles was 2.0 while Washington's on two less carries was 1.2. Jeanty was far more effective running the ball besides Washington's 21 yard off tackle run. Which I'm a big fan of Washington being the go to guy for those type of playcalls, because he's really good at that specific play.
And I'm sorry but I disagree, Kubiak decides who plays. Not Spytek. Kubiak has no loyalty to a draft selection he himself didn't make. He pounded the table for Washington. Kubiak has an incentive to play his guy over Jeanty, not the other way around. Suggesting that Jeanty is on scholarship due to his draft position lacks evidence. It could have something to do with the fact that he rushed for 1K yards last year as Pro, and Washington is a rookie. Maybe Kubiak just thinks Jeanty is better? But I get how it's fun to come up with theories without context.

Our guards are terrible and Linderbaum didn't look great either but what I really noticed was the linebackers crashing down when Cousin's just has his hand out to give the ball off. For crying out loud, fake the handoff (make it look good) and throw the ball over the middle. It will be wide open. You start doing that a bit, those linebackers are going to start to quit biting on the handoff. Then run the ball. Maybe the pass can open up the run.ALLRAIDERWORLD21 wrote: Tue Oct 27, 2026 7:01 pm And for all you calling Jeanty a bust..

Getting less than 2 ypc then breaking off a long run in garbage time doesn't make you a better back. Jeanty is elite at reciever, a better blocker, and more consistent between the tackles. That's why he plays more snaps. Kubiak doesn't have a bias against the guy he drafted.

Not garbage time yards. If I recall correctly, he has had a number of them in the second quarter, last week it was in the third when we were trying to claw are way back into it and were having success. But continue to make shit up to satisfy your agendamranquales wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2026 10:59 am Getting less than 2 ypc then breaking off a long run in garbage time doesn't make you a better back. 2 times on 4th down this week they threw it to Cody White.Hellbound wrote: Sat Oct 10, 2026 6:35 am All I know is that I constantly read all offseason about how we don't need a #1 wr and the receiving corps and offense will be fine without one. Didn't take long to see the effects of not having a legit threat outside of Bowers

Oh, there is no doubt we need one, but there was no rush to force one. We were going to build this thing right this time, at least that is the plan, so we could be patient and first off not take someone else's garbage and to use our picks wisely. I fully expect we take a first round receiver next draft. I actually have one that I find perfect who should be there when we pick.KillerRaider30 wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2026 11:31 am 2 times on 4th down this week they threw it to Cody White.

We whine about the 3rd highest scoring offense with definite flaws, but basically crickets for one of the worst defenses in points allowed.
What would make the team better? Drafting a WR1 or a stud nose tackle?
Only Dallas allows more rushing yards per game.

But we can get a stud DT in the second round, but it is far harder to get a stud WR in the second round. The guy I want at WR will not fall into the second round.Rabidraider wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2026 11:59 am We whine about the 3rd highest scoring offense with definite flaws, but basically crickets for one of the worst defenses in points allowed.

I'm not sure if stud nose tackles make it to the second round.Attyla wrote: Wed Oct 28, 2026 12:08 pm But we can get a stud DT in the second round, but it is far harder to get a stud WR in the second round. The guy I want at WR will not fall into the second round.

Echoles is one who could be there in the second. I am willing to bet Bear Alexander will be there. Both those guys are disruptive as hell.

He's going top 10 I'm seeing. Tankathon has him currently at 6 going to philly.
