The point is we could have had him play out this season on his old deal and if the "better Geno" shows up by seasons end extend him.Should have used this season as a prove it year imo...Geno has had far more downs than ups as a QB,that reason alone should have had us waiting to see what we have before opening up the wallet.Atlasffa wrote: Tue Sep 30, 2025 7:01 pm We haven't seen the best of Geno. We'll see how we feel about that salary if the good Geno shows up. QBs are falling like flies right now. Purdy, Lamar, Joey. Four games isn't a lot for a new team. And Sunday's game showed that there's some talent to tap into if everyone can get on the same page at the same time. I'm still hopeful for 7 to 9 wins.![]()

When Geno get's ready to pass it reminds me of Christopher Walken playing Russian roulette in Deer Hunter

Right now he’s averaging 1.75 INTs per game, “those are rookie numbers, he needs to pump those up” to George Blanda levels in 1962. Dude threw 42 INTs in a 14 game season.pfish57 wrote: Wed Oct 01, 2025 7:58 am When Geno get's ready to pass it reminds me of Christopher Walken playing Russian roulette in Deer Hunter![]()

Woulda, shoulda, coulda... What's done is done. I understand why the decision was made. Now we can only watch as the season plays out.Rainman56 wrote: Wed Oct 01, 2025 6:23 am The point is we could have had him play out this season on his old deal and if the "better Geno" shows up by seasons end extend him.Should have used this season as a prove it year imo...Geno has had far more downs than ups as a QB,that reason alone should have had us waiting to see what we have before opening up the wallet.
